February Product Play Project #3

02/23/2021 Lynda Day 1 Comment

Good Afternoon. Today I’m excited to be bringing you the third project from my February Product Play kit. The kit is $25 and gives you a sampling of the Fine Art Floral and Sand & Sea Suites by Stampin’ Up!

Like I say in the video, it’s really hard to see the shimmer of the Pearlescent paper, but it adds so much to the card.

Hello everyone!! Today I am revealing the first project for February’s Project Play Kit. I went live in my FB Group, My Flutterby Moments and showed everyone how to put the project together. If you’re not a member of my group, click on the link above to join.

If you don’t know what Product Play kits are, they are a sampling of every suite in the Stampin’ Up! JJ mini catalog. Instead of getting everything, you just get a sampling. This is a great way to see the product in person and decide whether you want to buy the full package.February Product Play kit features the Fine Art Floral Suite & the Sand & Sea Suite from Stampin’ Up!

Okay, so I wanted to post the video here, but things didn’t turn out like I planned so, if you want to watch the video, you will need to click the link below.

Gotta Have It!-1st Edition

11/23/2020 Lynda Day Leave a Comment

One of the questions I get asked a lot is, “What are the basic things I should have in my stamp stash?” That’s a good question! In todays world, there is so much out there to choose from. However, I am going to try and help narrow down that field a bit. Enter- Gotta Have It! Each Monday, I will feature one of the products Stampin’ Up! has and tell you all the wonderful things about it and why you “Gotta Have it!!

Before you can begin to stamp or craft, there are some basic things that every stamper needs.

Scissors or Snips-A good pair of scissors or snips is essential. Snips are small and designed to help you get a precise, clean cut. It’s also nice to have a bigger pair of scissors for bigger cuts. And I think you can’t have enough of these babies in your stash. I have one for paper cutting and one reserved just for ribbon.

Bone Folder– I’ll be honest, this isn’t something I’ve always used, however, I have rediscovered it and it’s so important. A bone folder helps you to get really good creases on your cards or those 3D items you make. Plus this may not be recommended by everyone, but I use it to spread the ink on my ink pads when I refill them:)

Pick Tool– This little guy is a new edition to my stamp stash, but no less important than any other tool. It’s a tool that helps you pick up all those teeny, tiny pieces of paper and jewels that get lost. This tool is especially great if you have nails that don’t allow you to pick up things otherwise.

Trimmer– If you could choose only one other thing besides adhesive for your stash, it would be a trimmer. I use it for EVERYTHING!! This tool is so important that I have one for my stamp room and my household. Trimmers combined a way to cut and measure all into one!

Adhesive– Adhesive is what keeps everything together! This topic is so extensive, that it will get it’s own blog post. Just note, that adhesive is a VERY important member of our stamp stash!

Well that sums up today’s edition of Gotta Have It! It’s always important to start with the basics before we move on to the other products that are calling our names!!!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping!!
