New Catalog Open House

Good Morning! Today’s post is going to be a quick one. It’s cleaning day at my house. I held my annual open house for the new catalog. As luck would have it, I was running late that day and ended up not getting pictures of anything. However, I do have pictures of the make ‘n takes that we did.

We made two things. A card and a bookmark.

This card features the Love & Affection stamp set, the Affectionately Yours washi tape & DSP

This bookmark is my favorite. It uses the Swirly Bird stamp set and features the 5 new in colors. Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum, Dapper Denim & Emerald Envy.

Mojo Monday meets Fresh Fruit

Good morning everyone! It’s Monday and I decided that I needed a little inspiration to get my week going. I headed over to the Mojo Monday challenge blog where they had a nice layout waiting for me.

I got my box of new catalog goodies over the weekend, but I didn’t have time to play with them. One of the first stamp sets I knew I wanted was the Fresh Fruit stamp set. I love these types of things.

I think one of my most favorite things to do with almost any stamp is make my own back ground paper. To me it’s relaxing and fun. For this card I used Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight & Wild Wasabi. Of course as I mentioned before the stamp set is Fresh Fruit. Other new goodies on this card include the Thick Whisper White baker’s twine and the new embossing folder, Sparkle.

It’s kind of hard to see in the picture, but I used the clear wink of stella pen on the pink flowers. I love this pen. It gives just enough pretty shimmer without the mess. And it’s so easy to use.

In Color- Sweet Sugarplum

Ok, today is the last day of samples I have from #Onstage 2016. Sweet Sugarplum. I saved the best for last. It’s the purple in the group which is my favorite color.

This card features the washi tape called Playful Palette.

I think this was my most favorite scrapbook page I did. My little girl is bending over a fountain that is going to shoot here in the face any minute.

I was assigned certain stamp sets to use on my samples. This stamp set is one of the hostess stamp sets called Gift of Love. I’ll be honest, when I first saw it, I was not excited. It’s a stamp set that I would never choose on my own. However, I gave it a try and I ended up really liking it. It just goes to show, you can’t judge a stamp set by it’s cover!

Last but certainly not least is this little banner. I’m a huge an of banners and of course this one makes me HAPPY!

That’s it for my In Color Samples for Onstage 2016. This was such a fun opportunity and I was very humbled to be chosen. Now for something I’m really excited to share. Next week I’m starting to post some Project Life samples. This is what I have really been wanting to get into and I think I’m finally ready!!

In Colors- Dapper Denim

Today is Thursday and I only have two more colors to share with you from my #Onstage 2016 samples. Dapper Denim. This is my most favorite of all the In colors. I. AM. IN. LOVE. (Don’t worry, my husband would approve. His favorite color is blue.)

Anyway, this color goes with everything! It looks great with all it’s fellow in colors plus every other color Stampin’ Up has to offer. Let’s take a look.

This was probably one of the most fun cards I made for the display boards. I used all the different colors on watercolor paper.

This isn’t the best picture. However, notice how great the Dapper Denim looks on the kraft cardstock.

2016 Annual Catalog Release

Today is the day!! Stampin’ UP’s new annual catalog went live this morning. I am so excited for everyone to see it. I love everything about it. The Designer Series Paper, the stamp sets and the embellishments. AHHHHH! Breathe……………

I started with the washi tape from the suite Pop of Pink. This suite is so classy. It combines the colors Melon Mambo, Black & Gold. Next I used a stamp set called Scenic Sayings, embossed it in gold embossing powder and cut it out. I am pretty sure this stamp set is going to be a must on everyone’s list. Then I finished the card with some gold sequins.
