Quarantined Stamping

03/23/2020 Lynda Day Leave a Comment

Hello everyone!! Can you believe we made it through our first week of being stuck in our houses? I laughed and said that I’m use to being stuck in my house all day. It’s all these extra people running around that are throwing me for a loop!!

Anyway, I want to introduce something today. I always hear people tell, that they buy these stamping supplies, but they DON’T use them. WHAT?????? Well after being stuck at home for a week and realizing that I have a lot of extra time on my hands, I wanted to reach out to the stamping community and start a stamping revolution. I call it “Quarantined Stamping”

Here’s how it’s going to work. Every week, a theme will be posted. YOU will break out those stamping supplies, dust them off and create a card, scrapbook page or 3-D item based on the theme. YOU will then post a picture of it on my FB group- My Flutterby Moments and at the end of the week, everyone will vote on their favorites. I will then send some HAPPY MAIL to the top three winners every week!

So here’s what you need to do to participate:

  1. Join my FB group if you haven’t already. It’s called My Flutterby Moments. Click here for the link.
  2. Watch for the theme to be posted every Monday morning. The theme will run Monday-Friday
  3. Create a stamping project using the theme as your inspiration.
  4. Take a picture of your project and post it in the My Flutterby Moments FB group. Make sure you use the hashtag provided in the Monday post. This helps me to be able to search things easier.
  5. On Saturday, everyone will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite projects and then the top 3 winners will receive some Happy Mail!!!
  6. You may create as many projects as you want as long as they are each posted as a separate post.

*Please keep in mind, this is something new I’m trying. And when you try something new, there may be kinks to workout. Please be patient and hopefully we can have lots of fun!!

Happy Stamping!!!

“Born to Ride” into the sunset!!

Hello! Today’s card is one that I am sure you’re going to like. Guy cards are really hard for me to come up with. It features a retiring stamp set called, “One Wild Ride”.  This stamp set was inspired by Dawn Griffith, one of Stampin’ UP’s Million Dollar Sales Acheivers. It’s such a fun stamp set, especially if you have a biker in your life.

For this card, I chose to keep it simple. Basically a two color palette with the accent of chrome. I think my favorite part about this card is the chrome. The look of the chrome was simply made by running a piece of the silver foil paper through the “Sparkle” TIEF. Sadly, this folder is retiring as well.

Card Recipe:

Well if, you love this stamp set, you need to get it before it’s gone.

Happy Stamping Everyone!

Happy Birthday Banner

Welcome everyone. It’s been quite some time since I last blogged. I’ll be honest, blogging is not my strong suit, but I have decided to apply for Stampin’ UP’s Artisan Team. What does that mean? It means I need to get better at blogging and posting on a regular basis. Now I haven’t defined what “regular basis” means yet. My goal at this point it to post every week day for the rest of May. Come on, cheer me on !! Heaven knows I need it!!!

Hopefully you know that May is the last month to buy from our current 2018-2019 annual catalog. Over the next few weeks I’m going to be featuring some of my favorites that are going, going, GONE!!

I’m going to start with a banner I made.

I. LOVE. BANNERS. This one is fairly simple and it’s versatile as well. The parts that are retiring on this are the Large Letter framelits (a moment of silence please), the little In Color binder clips and the 2018-2020 DSP.        (Don’t worry they’re coming out with new designs:)

To make this banner I used the pocket framelit from Pocket Framelits for the base. I then used the stitched circle framelits to cut out the circle. Of course the Large letter framelits for the words and finished it off with some In Color ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by today and Happy Stamping!

{PIN}spirational Challenge #225- Try Something Different!

09/25/2018 Lynda Day Leave a Comment

Hello Everyone!

This week on the {PIN}spirational blog we are trying something new! I decided I would stamp on vellum instead of paper! This was something I had never done before and I found it was a lot of fun! The one thing to keep in mind is that you need to allow the vellum to dry longer!

I was working with the Joyous Noel Suite from Stampin’ Up and I stumbled upon this cute little lantern on Youtube. Click here for the link to Angie’s video. Angie used window sheets on her lantern, but I thought it would be fun to try and stamp on vellum instead.

After I was finished, I wanted to see what it would look like with a tea candle in it. It’s kind of hard to see, but I love the effect it had.

Fun right? You could use these to decorate around your home or you could put a treat inside and give them away!

Such a great challenge to try something new. Head over to the {PIN}spirational blog to check out what everyone else is trying out this week.

{PIN}SPIRATION Challenge #219

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

Today we are bringing you another challenge from the {PIN}SPIRATION team.

Here is today’s challenge.

Isn’t this picture so cute? As I looked over my stamps set and wondered what I should do, I settled on the stamp set Seaside Shore. I love this stamp set! It is now retired from Stampin’ Up however, I think it’s good to get those old stamp sets out, dust them off and use them once in a while!

Of course with the beach theme going on I knew that fish always fit in there right?

Here is my creation.

Lol! I tried to make it look like we were getting a view of the beach from the fishes’ perspective. I’m not sure how well I succeeded in making the sand really look like sand, but I like the way the card turned out anyways.

Ok! Now it’s your turn to head over the {PIN}SPIRATION blog, participate in the challenge and look to see what the other team members have designed.

This challenge is sponsored by Elisabeth Bell. Check out her digi images as well!

Happy Stamping!
