Welcome to My Flutterby Moments

04/04/2016 Lynda Day Leave a Comment

Welcome to my Blog!! Hello everyone, today is the official opening day of my blog. I want to introduce to you…… My Flutterby Moments. This blog was born because I have a love for scrapbooking and memory keeping. I feel it’s extremely important for everyone to preserves those little moments that occur every single day. I call them Flutterby Moments. These are the little things your kids say or do that someday you want to be able to remember.

When I was little girl, my mom always told me that I would call butterflies, flutterbys. I loved hearing her tell me about myself and the silly things I did. Little kids really do love to hear about themselves. Anyway, it’s our job to make this happen. That’s where memory keeping comes in. It doesn’t really matter how you do it as long as you do it.

I hope as you visit my site, you will find inspiration along your journey in memory keeping. Go ahead, take the step and print those pictures. You’ll be glad you did.

To start the day off, I have a scrapbook page of my kids. This was the first “Easter” dress I ever bought and of course I was so excited to show it off.

March Club Projects

04/01/2016 Lynda Day Leave a Comment

Every month I host a local card club at my house. We have lots of fun together and we make three projects. Usually two cards and a 3-D item. You know how writer’s get writer’s block? Well, I got “craft block”. (I think I just coined a new phrase) Anyway, I couldn’t think of anything to make so when in doubt… CASE (Copy and Share Everything) someone else’s card. There is no shame in that.

One of the great things about Stampin’ Up is their catalogs. They have super great ideas and guess what it’s okay to recreate their creations!!

Pinterest is also another great place to CASE cards from. I knew I wanted to use the Number of Years Stamp set with the Large Numbers Framelits. I found this super cute card from ladies name. You can see her original here.

Our last project was kind of funny because I found it on Pinterest first, pinned it and then realized later, it was in the Sale-A-Bration Catalog.

Last but not least is my card. Something you’ll find about me as we go on this journey is that I like to create cards based on little kids clothing. I always find the color combos, patterns and ideas so cute. #inspirationfromanywhere

Hey, Girl- It’s your birthday

03/28/2016 Lynda Day Leave a Comment

We just recently celebrated my little girl’s birthday. It was so fun to watch her open her presents. Days before her birthday, she kept asking me if I had gotten everything she has requested. She wanted a Barbie, a Doctor’s kit and some roller skates. I told her it was a surprise and she would have to wait.

Although I’m not very good about giving cards to my extended family, I do try very hard to give them to my kids. I think it’s important that children know their parents love them in written form. Cards are great because they can read them over and over again.

I chose to use the stamp set Hey Girl. The little girl in this stamp set reminds me a lot of my little girl. Once again this is a fun stamp set because you get to choose the different elements to use on it. Most of the time I use markers to color things in. However, this time I used my blender pens and I think it turned out great.

Card Recipe:

Stamp Set: Hey, Girl

Paper: Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White Cardstock; It’s My Party DSP

Ink: Black Memento Ink Pad, Soft Suede, Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Tangelo Twist, Crisp Cantaloupe, Blushing Bride, Pear Pizazz Ink Pads

Tools: Blender Pens, 7/8” Scallop Circle Punch, Handheld Stapler

Accessories: Black/Melon Mambo Baker’s Twine, Mini Staples

Adhesives: Snail, Glue Dots, Dimensionals

Happy Together- Pedal Pusher

03/25/2016 Lynda Day Leave a Comment

Ok, so I couldn’t resist another bicycle card. This stamp set is just so cute!!!!!  Alright, I think I have that out of my system. Breathe……

Today’s card is very bright and cheery. I think with the sentiment “Happy Together” you could pass this card off as a wedding card or maybe even a bridal shower card.

Last time, I put hearts in the basket. This time I chose the flowers. And my favorite part? The little birdie sitting on the flag in the very back.
