New at SU- Adhesive Backed Glimmer Paper! What?

09/20/2023 Lynda Day 2 Comments

Welcome to September’s “New at SU” blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are full of creative paper crafting ideas to share with you and get you crafting! Today we are showcasing products that Shimmer, Glimmer, Shine & Glow!!! Oh my!

So as you know, there were so many things to choose from, but I think you are going to like my featured product. It’s an online exclusive that was just released this month called, Silver & Gold ADHESIVE BACKED glimmer paper. What? Adhesive backed? Yes!! And it’s awesome!!

After I got started making my card, I also decided to feature another new Online Exclusive DSP and guess what, it too has a bit of shine on the paper. It’s called Shining Christmas Specialty DSP and it is YUMMY!!

It’s kind of hard to see from the picture, but the Cherry Cobbler shines on each of the “A”sides of the paper. Look at the diagonal stripe, it shows the shine the best. Plus I add a couple other accents that “shimmer” or “shine” as well. Simply Elegant Trim, Adhesive Backed Glitter Sequins & the red Pearlized Enamel Effects.

Are you ready for my project now?

Ahhh! So cute! I love this little giraffe guy. He was so fun to color.

If you want to make this card, here are the dimensions

  • Thick Basic White CS- 7 x 8 1/2
  • Shining Christmas DSP: Cherry Cobbler Polka Dot-3 1/4 x 8 1/4 & Present DSP- 1 1/4 x 8 1/4
  • Silver Adhesive Backed glimmer paper- 1/2 x 8 1/4
  • Basic White CS- 2 x 2 (sentiment) & scraps for stamping
  • Simply Elegant Trim (Silver) – 12 inches

Also the colors I used to color the giraffe:

  • Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends

June New at SU! Bloghop- Kid’s Cards

06/21/2023 Lynda Day 7 Comments

Welcome to the NEW AT SU! Blog hop for June. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are full of creative paper crafting ideas to share with you and get you crafting! Today we are showcasing products from the Annual Catalog that are geared toward kids.

There are so many fun ones in this new catalog!

For the blog hop this month, I chose the stamp set, “It’s A Science”. When I saw this stamp set, I was so excited! In the time that I’ve been a Stampin’ Up! demo, I don’t think we’ve ever had a stamp set like this.

When I think of kids, I think of bright colors and fun. For this card I chose two different color palettes. I couldn’t decided which one I liked more so I made both. Which one do you like?

Stamp around the edge of a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of card stock.

Stamp image in Memento Black and color with Stampin’ Blend Markers. Colors featured here are Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist & Tahitian Tide.

Fussy cut images and adhere with dimensionals.

Stamp image on 3 x 4 Basic White card stock in light color (Crumb Cake). Stamp bubbles in coordinating color over beakers. Adhere with dimensionals.

Adhere everything to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 card base folded in half. DSP strips measure 1/2 x 3 3/4.

Stamp sentiment and die cut with tag. Add some baker’s twine and adhere with dimensionals.

Orange Card color Combo: Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo, Azure Afternoon & Parakeet Party

Yellow Card Combo: Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Tahitian Tide & Lemon Lime Twist

I hope you liked this card! Thanks for stopping by today. Check out the other projects featured in this month’s Blog Hop & please leave a comment on your favorite color combo!!

New At SU!-Moody Mauve color combo with Core Colors!

05/17/2023 Lynda Day 6 Comments

Welcome to the NEW AT SU! Blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are full of creative paper crafting ideas to share with you and get you crafting! Today we are showcasing the new 2023-2025 In Colors. Each of us has taken an In color and paired it with some of the core colors. Hope you enjoy!!

These cards were so easy to make! The technique is called Cross Stamping.

Keep scrolling for steps to make your own cards.

Start by choosing 3 colors and a stamp set. Then trim your paper to 8 x 10 1/2. Next stamp in the center of the page both vertical and horizontal.

After you are done stamping, cut the paper into four quarters each piece measuring 4 x 5 1/4.

Pick coordinating card bases and decide which direction you want to use each piece.

Finish by stamping a sentiment and embellishing with dots or sequins.

That’s it. Thanks for stopping by!!

Please take a moment to leave a comment before you hop along to the next post.
