Hello & Welcome to April’s New@SU! blog hop. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are full of creative paper crafting ideas to share with you and get you crafting! This month we are C.A.S.E.ing someone on the team.
I have the privilege of copying the amazing Annette Elias who is from the Netherlands. She is a beautiful stamper and I love what she has to offer. The project that I chose to be inspired by is a card she made using the Cutest Cow stamp set. However even though that cow is so cute, he’s not what inspired me. It’s actually the beautiful background she put behind him.
Annette did what I call “crazy stamping”. This is a technique where you use your stamps and ink to create a background. Hers is so beautiful and she said that she modeled it after something called Delft Blue Tiles. You can click on the photo to see Annette’s original post.
Ok, so here’s my project for the month.
I had these 4th of July pictures and I decided that I would make my own “DSP” with crazy stamping. The Light the Sky stamp set was perfect. The best way to do “crazy stamping” is to start with the largest image you want to use and then work your way down to the smallest image. I stamped the largest firework in Real Red, finished with the smallest firework in Night of Navy. The other colors used were Flirty Flamingo, Crumb Cake & Tahitian Tide (retiring).
Now it’s time to check out the other beautiful projects from the other Team Members. (I can’t wait to see what the person C.A.S.E.ing me did!)
